When you leave us you will have a sterile, open wound.   It is YOUR responsibility to protect it.
 

Follow these instructions and you will not have any problems.

1. Keep the sterile dressing for the time specified. On removal, dispose of the dressing carefully & wash
the tattoo in hot water using an unperfumed soap by hand – no flannels or sponges. Pat gently dry with a clean towel. DO NOT RE-COVER.

2. You may wish to wear a suitable garment to bed on the first night as the tattoo may sweat out some
excess ink. If the fabric sticks, soak it off, don't pull it because you will pull out ink.

3. From day 2, wash it at least twice daily & apply the supplied after-care cream or Savlon cream.
DON'T USE ANYTHING ELSE! Always use freshly washed hands to apply cream & apply it very
sparingly (the tattoo should be supple, not greasy). Do not share after-care cream with others.

4. During healing the tattoo will be dry & flaky - some scabbing may occur.

DON'T PICK IT - YOU WILL PULL OUT THE INK &

YOU MAY CAUSE INFECTION AND/OR SCARRING.

5. Keep the tattoo clean, esp. from chemicals, cement, dust, perfumes, etc. Keep your fingers off it!

6. Do not swim or sunbathe for at least one month. Avoid activities which stretch the tattoo excessively
while it is healing as it can cause cracks in the scab and/or knock out colour.

In the long-term, protect your tattoo with high-factor sun block when out in the sun – this will protect the
colours & keep the tattoo sharp & bright for longer.
